ROBOT COMPANIONS AND LEGO ENGINEERING WORKSHOP FOURTH SESSION: BUILDING A ROBOT TO PLAY THE GAME: TAKE THE TOKEN!
Monday, July 13th, 2015
During the fourth workshop session students had to build a robot that could play the game called: “Take the Token.”
In this game, the robots were activated once the participants pushed the touch sensor. It also had to be capable of moving a LEGO Mini figure forward, grasp it, and afterwards move backwards as fast as possible before the other robots could catch up to it.
Students were introduced to the touch sensor, and in their programming they used the “do while” and “if” conditional statements.
The work they did was amazing and great, and at the end both teams reached a draw.
For the first time, the two hookie robots, Betty and Barney , were assisting the students while they were working together.
