ROBOT COMPANIONS AND LEGO ENGINEERING WORKSHOP EIGHTH SESSION (LAST SESSION): THE ROBOT THAT COULD PLAY ROCK,PAPER,SCISSORS
Thursday, July 30th, 2015
For this last session the three students that participated worked together to form a team for the final challenge. The goal was to build a robot that could play the game rock, paper, scissors against the teacher’s robot.
The student team decided to use the touch sensor to activate the game. The robot decided what to play (rock, paper, or scissors) using the random function from 1 to 3. Strategies were involved that also used the functions switch and comparison.Visual and sound effects were also added to their robot.
Finally we all played against the robots, and enjoyed watching the robots play against each other.
AISOY and the Hookie robot Betty helped the children during the session.
