ROBOT COMPANIONS AND LEGO ENGINEERING WORKSHOP SEVENTH SESSION: ROBOTS THAT PLAY BOWLING!
Monday, July 27th, 2015
In this session we had two students that worked together. They built a robot that was able to bowl against a robot that the teacher built. This activity was chosen by the students at the end of the session before, and the requirements were to use a sensor, a motor, and aim to do a STRIKE! The students decided to use the touch sensor to throw the ball.
In the left picture you can see the robot made by the students and see that their robot performs better and was able to beat the teacher’s robot (right photo) with an amazing strike!
Betty, the non-stoppable companion, helped them by holding the ball most of the time.
